South-South cooperation is a manifestation of solidarity among peoples and countries of the South. Practically, it advocates the mutual help, trade, bilateral investment and people-to-people exchange among developing countries. Infrastructure construction has been a main field in the cooperation between China and Africa.  SANY, as a world-leading heavy equipment manufacturer, is contributing to the vision of China&Africa’s common prosperity with quality products and services. Following are three construction cases in Africa that SANY was involved in.  

Ciments du Sahel Expansion Project Phase III  

CIF cement plant

Founded in 2014, invested with USD 800 millon, CIF (angola) is the largest cement company in Angola. The cement plant covers 638,000 m2, with a productivity of 5,000t/day enabled by its two production lines. Voted by African Union (AU) as “the most beautiful factory in Africa”, the complex was designed to be “garden-like”. SANY’s excavators, cranes, drilling rigs and concrete machines, in a total number of 110 units, took part in its whole construction period from 2009 to 2014.

Kafue-Mazabuka section of T1 highway

The Zambian T1 highway connects the capital city Lusaka with Livingston, where lies Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It is also the pivot of Zambia's import and export with Botswana and Namibia, which makes it a vital part on Zambia’s economic development. And Kafue-Mazabuka section is the heart of T1 highway, where Kafue, the industrial powerhouse of the nation, and Mazabuka, an essential agricultural town for Zambia meet. In 2019, the renovation project for this section started and witnessed the great contribution made by more than 20 units of SANY equipment, including graders, rollers, pavers, excavators, asphalt batching plants, loaders, and so on.
